The Unravel Wolfram Syndrome Fund

We have established The Unravel Wolfram Syndrome Fund through Washington University in St. Louis School of Medicine.  This fund provides financial support for Dr. Fumihiko Urano’s lab where they are currently discovering and evaluating new treatments for endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress diseases to get the treatments to people who need  them.

Although we feel an urgency to help our daughter with Wolfram spectrum, there are many other courageous people with Wolfram syndrome, and millions with other forms of diabetes and neurodegenerative disease for whom there is even greater urgency.

100% of your donation will go directly to Dr. Urano’s research group to get the treatments from the lab to the people who desperately need them.  

100% of charitable donations made to Dr. Urano’s lab (including those made through The Unravel Wolfram Syndrome Fund) will go directly to his lab and research. It is the norm for a percentage of donations to go to the University, as there are expenses that must be paid by the University to maintain the lab. The School of Medicine has decided to absorb the overhead cost for Dr.Urano's research/projects supported by charitable donations.
